How to Get Rid of Fat After Pregnancy

Question

I’m a 34 yr old month of two boys aged 4 and 6. I’ve tried everything to get my body back to its pre-pregnancy state but there are certain areas that just don’t respond to anything. I’m frustrated! What can I do?

These days it seems impossible to avoid entertainment headlines that aren’t flaunting photos of celebrity baby bumps, followed by photos of incredible celebrity post baby bodies. Most women’s experience with their pregnancy bodies are not like fitness model Sarah Stage who posted selfies of her rock hard abs while 9 months pregnant. Busy modern women don’t have the endless tools or time that celebrities have at their fingertips when it comes to revamping their post-baby body. Therefore getting their bodies back after pregnancy requires a great deal of hard work and dedication.

Most women will find that a careful diet and regular exercise regimen will help them begin to shed post-pregnancy pounds. Many women also find that breastfeeding can help to expedite the weight loss process. Losing weight and working to regain their shape is often a frustrating experience for new moms, however it is important to remember that it took you nine months to grow your precious bundle, so it will take some time for things to settle back to normal!

Oftentimes when new moms get close to their goal weight they will notice some areas of their body haven’t bounced back quite as much as they would like. Many notice some stubborn areas of fat that refuse to respond to diet or exercise. It is often women in this position who we see for fat reduction consultations. When new moms come to us for help, there are often two treatments that we recommend: Smart Lipo or Ultrasonic Liposuction. The type of treatment that is best suited to you will depend on your physical characteristics and will be determined during consultation.

Both SmartLipo and Ultrasonic liposuction are outpatient procedures and you will go home soon after the procedure. It can help to permanently remove areas of fat on the muffin top, abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks as well as any other problem area on your body. Incisions are small and the recovery time is minimal.

If you are a new mom who is looking to regain your pre-baby body schedule, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with myself to determine which “Body After Baby” procedure will help you achieve your goals.
